Michael has extensive experience in successfully managing and growing technology companies. Most recently, he was Chairman and CEO of E-TEK Dynamics, one of the leading innovators in the rapidly growing fiber optic industry. In just over three years, E-TEK's revenues grew from $50M to $1B run rate while employees grew from 400 to over 5,000. E-TEK had a successful IPO and secondary with ten consecutive quarters of record profits and revenues before merging with JDS Uniphase in the second largest telecommunications merger in history.

Michael was previously President and CEO of Pacific Telesis Enterprises (parent company of Pacific Bell). He had responsibilities for Video, Internet Media, Mobile Services (PCS), Voicemail, Yellow Pages and Payphones.  Pacific Telesis was acquired by SBC Communications.

Prior to joining Pacific Bell, Michael accepted a turnaround assignment and served as President and CEO of Network Systems Corporation, specializing in high-speed data communications between computers and LAN's.

Earlier, he held a variety of positions in technology companies including Data Switch Corporation, which he helped take to a successful IPO and secondary.

Michael attended Duke University on a scholastic/athletic scholarship and received a BA in Business Administration.
